Frequently asked questions
The Pema Women's Fertility program is an acupuncture-based, naturopathically supported three-phase program designed to enhance female reproductive health and improve fertility outcomes, whether for natural conception or assisted reproduction. It addresses hormonal balance, egg quality, uterine health, gut health, and emotional wellbeing in one integrated, personalised program.
The program is suitable for women experiencing difficulty conceiving naturally, those with PCOS/PMOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, poor ovarian reserve, or unexplained infertility, and those preparing for IVF or natural conception. It is also beneficial for women who have experienced recurrent miscarriage or previous IVF failures.
Phase 1 - Nurture (Recommended 14 nights, minimum 8): Calms the nervous system and balances hormones to reset the body's internal environment.
Phase 2 - Nourish (Recommended 14 nights, minimum 8): Deepens hormonal balance while supporting egg quality and ovarian function.
Phase 3 - Flourish (Recommended 14 nights, minimum 8): Optimises uterine receptivity and stress resilience, preparing the body to conceive or begin assisted treatment.
These phases are positioned across a continuous three-month duration in conjunction with the previous phases.
The first phase -” Nurture” focuses on assessment, detoxification, and hormonal recalibration, clearing the body of inflammatory and hormonal imbalances that hinder conception. The second phase- “Nourish”- targets deep reproductive restoration by optimising egg quality, uterine health, and cycle regularity through advanced acupuncture and naturopathic therapies. The third phase “Flourish” consolidates all gains, strengthens reproductive resilience, and prepares the body for natural conception.
The minimum duration is 8 nights per phase. However, we strongly recommend 14 nights per phase, spanning across three months for the best results. These phases are positioned across a continuous three-month duration in conjunction with the previous phases.
The Pema Women's Fertility program combines acupuncture to regulate hormones, improve ovarian blood flow, and support uterine receptivity, with naturopathic treatments that correct underlying imbalances in gut health, nutrition, and inflammation. Hydrotherapy improves circulation and lowers inflammation, while therapeutic massages ease tension and support lymphatic flow. Ozone therapy supports cellular oxygenation and reduces oxidative stress, and yoga & meditation build emotional resilience and stress regulation.

The diet is fertility-focused and rich in antioxidants, healthy fats, plant-based proteins, and key reproductive nutrients including folate, zinc, iron, and Vitamin D. Refined sugar, processed foods, alcohol, and hormone-disrupting foods are avoided throughout all three phases to support hormonal balance and egg quality.
We ask that guests complete their active bleeding phase before beginning each phase of the program, so therapies can be timed to support the body's natural rhythm without interruption. Our team will work with you during your pre-arrival consultation to schedule your stay around your cycle.
Naturopathy addresses fertility by identifying and correcting the underlying imbalances that affect reproductive health, including gut dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal disruption, thyroid imbalance, and chronic inflammation. Therapeutic nutrition, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle correction work together across all three phases to create an optimal internal environment for conception.
Chronic stress, poor sleep, and lifestyle habits are significant contributors to female infertility and are addressed directly within the program. Acupuncture regulates the stress response, while yoga, meditation, and counselling support build emotional resilience. Practical lifestyle guidance on sleep, exercise, and daily routine is provided as part of your personalised program across all three phases.
Yes. PCOS/PMOS is one of the primary conditions addressed in the Pema Women's Fertility program. Acupuncture helps regulate menstrual cycles and reduce androgen levels across all three phases, while naturopathic therapies and a targeted diet address insulin resistance, inflammation, and weight, which are all key factors in PCOS/PMOS-related fertility challenges.
Acupuncture and naturopathic therapies support ovarian health and blood flow across all three phases, which can positively influence ovarian reserve over time. While AMH levels are largely determined by genetics and age, many guests experience meaningful improvements in associated hormonal markers and ovarian function.
Yes. The program is designed to optimise your body's natural reproductive function across three progressive phases by regulating menstrual cycles, balancing hormones, improving egg quality, and addressing underlying conditions that may be hindering conception. Many guests go on to conceive naturally following the completion of all three phases.
Acupuncture and naturopathic support before an IVF cycle can improve ovarian response, support uterine lining receptivity, reduce the side effects of hormonal stimulation, and manage stress across all three phases. Our naturopathic medical team will coordinate with your IVF schedule to ensure all therapies are aligned with and complementary to your treatment protocol.
For more details, please visit our specialised Pre-IVF program FAQ page.
By the end of the first phase, guests commonly experience improved hormonal balance, regulated menstrual cycles, and reduced symptoms of PCOS/PMOS or endometriosis. The second phase delivers measurable improvements in egg quality, uterine health, and reproductive vitality. By the completion of the third phase, many guests report significantly improved fertility markers and overall reproductive health, with many going on to conceive naturally or report improved IVF outcomes.
Fertility is a shared journey, not one partner's responsibility alone. Sperm quality, hormonal balance, and lifestyle factors on the male side shape conception outcomes just as much as reproductive health on the female side, so addressing both is essential to giving the journey its best chance. Partners are encouraged to participate together, and a dedicated Men's Fertility program is available at Pema to support male reproductive health alongside the Women's Fertility program.
Yes. We insist that you carry all your current prescribed medications with you. Our naturopathic doctors will monitor you closely throughout your stay, and if clinically appropriate, your medication dosage may be reviewed and adjusted during your program.
